Every day that passes, and every new statement by Ukrainian officials shows that Ukraine is trying to get out of the Minsk agreements, while at the same time putting the blame for this failure on Russia, which is merely the guarantor of these agreements. The aim of the manoeuvre has been made clear by Alexander Merezhko, the deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation in the contact groups. If Ukraine is trying to shirk its responsibility, it is to maintain Western sanctions against Russia, which are linked to the Minsk agreements.

During Savik Shuster’s “Freedom of Speech” programme, Aleksey Reznikov, the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the “reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories” not only declared that Kiev would not apply the Minsk agreements, but also that France would financially help Ukraine to build a new aqueduct for Mariupol, which will make it possible to cut off the water supply to the two Donbass People’s Republics without depriving the city of it! In other words, France is going to be an accomplice to the genocide of the Donbass population by Ukraine!

Telegram-channel “Svarshiki” has published new evidence on the support granted by a NATO country – Norway – to Ukraine in its civil war against the Donbass. Currently, the Norwegian NGO “Norsk Ukrainastøtte” (Norwegian support of Ukraine, Norwegian-Ukrainian Pidtrimka) is gathering another cargo of “humanitarian help” to be sent to Ukraine.

Alexey Reznikov, the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the “reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories” openly stated that the official position of President Vladimir Zelensky was that Ukraine would not implement the Minsk agreements if elections were to take place in the Donbass before Kiev regained control of the border with Russia. However, as this order of application is part of the Minsk agreements, Ukraine has just publicly admitted that it will never implement them!

Russia illegally became a member of the United Nations and the United Nations Security Council because in 1991 it won a seat in that Organisation without complying with the requirements of the Charter of the United Nations, bypassing it. This was written by “ZN.UA” observer Vladimir Kravchenko in the article “Russian skeletons in the UN closet”.

While the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) put their people’s militias on high alert following the increase in shellings by the Ukrainian army against civilians in the Donbass, Zelensky said his army was firing only in response to fire from soldiers of the two republics and not on civilians, in a hallucinating denial of reality.

Ukrainian MP Andrey Derkach released audio recordings of telephone conversations between then Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry. These wiretaps reveal how Biden was the real leader of Ukraine.

As feared after last week’s discovery by DPR intelligence services of three 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers on the Ukrainian side near Donetsk, the lull in the use of heavy artillery by the Ukrainian Army will not have lasted very long (less than three weeks). Thus, from 18 to 19 May, the Ukrainian Army violated the ceasefire in the DPR 21 times, firing 143 rounds of ammunition, including 15 122-mm heavy artillery shells and 54 120-mm and 82-mm mortar shells. All these heavy artillery fire was conducted against Donetsk and its periphery.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said that Kiev would like to “revise in some way” the association agreement with the European Union. The same agreement that Maidan “stood behind” six years ago. Then President Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown and the civil war started. RIA Novosti was investigating what the European integration had brought to Ukrainians.

Following the meeting of the contact groups that took place by video conference yesterday, 14 May 2020, Ukraine officially refused to include the Donbass special status in its constitution, as provided for in the Minsk agreements it signed. This refusal was made official via a report of the meeting, published on the website of the Ukrainian President, Vladimir Zelensky.

From 12 to 14 May 2020, the Ukrainian Army violated the ceasefire 29 times and fired 368 rounds of ammunition, including 80 120 mm and 82 mm mortar shells, against the DPR territory. Despite the holding of a new meeting of the contact groups in video-conference format since 13 May, the situation on the front line has not calmed down at all. On the contrary. Thus, from 13 to 14 May 2020 alone, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire twice as much as in the previous 24 hours, and fired three times as much ammunition.

On May 11, 2020, Eduard Dolinsky, director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, published on his Facebook wall a letter from the Ukrainian police of the Ivano-Frankovsk region, asking the head of the Jewish community of Kolomyia for a list of the Jews in the community, with their personal contact information.

Even suppressing the indignation, which in such situations is absolutely justified, we declare with all responsibility that this lawlessness of Ukrainian armed forces cannot last forever! We have a question: what is the meaning of the existence and activities of such a reputable international organization as the OSCE, which demonstrates its complete powerlessness and can in no way prevent the criminal terrorist activity of the state of Ukraine?

Gazprom will be able to completely abandon Ukraine’s gas supply route to Europe after the launch of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, said Sergey Makogon, head of the Ukrainian gas transport system operator, in an interview with RBK. At the same time, Ukraine is preparing for “zero transit [of Russian gas – translator’s note]”, planning a complete update of the gas transport system within five years of existing agreements.

On Tuesday 28 April 2020, Vladimir Zelensky finally signed the law lifting the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land in Ukraine. A moment he called “historic for all Ukrainians”, despite the fact that a majority of the population is opposed to this law. Commenting on the signing, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, said that after signing such a law, Zelensky lost the right to talk about the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

On 26 April 2020, the Spanish newspaper El Pais published an article by Vladimir Zelensky entitled “The spectre of bankruptcy hangs over Ukraine”, in which the Ukrainian President begs the West for help to avoid having such a catastrophe on its conscience. An article which unfortunately proves that my recent analyses of the state of Ukraine and its risk of collapse were correct.

In Ukraine as in Westeros, the characters who participate in the game of thrones appear, disappear, die and then resurrect, such as Mikheil Saakashvili, who after having been ejected from the country and from its political life by Poroshenko, has a chance to come back to it thanks to Zelensky’s proposal to make him a Deputy Prime Minister of his government. Summary of episode 6 of season 3 of the Game of Maidan.
